I have spent more than 26 years in the IT industry, designing enterprise systems, fintech platforms, AI products, AR/VR tools, and digital infrastructure used by companies and people across different parts of the world.
For most of those years, I was the person behind the architecture, the systems, the code, the products, the companies. Technology became my craft, my discipline, and a large part of how I see myself.
But there was always another world living quietly inside me.
Music.
Not music as something to hear, but as something to feel. The emotion of a sustained tone. The atmosphere of a dark melody. The mystery of a song that sounds like it remembers something. I have always been drawn to science fiction, mystery, metal, poetry, and any art form that lets a quiet thing speak loudly. These aren't interests for me. They're how I see the world.
Through Mere Welkin, my songwriting project, where I write atmospheric, emotional songs about memory and distance, I learned that music could be a language for things I could never quite explain in words. It reminded me that the best music isn't entertainment. It's a translation.
That is why Piruz Labs exists.
A very personal calling
Piruz Labs is my answer to it. After many years of building large systems for other people, I wanted to make something closer to my own heart. Something that mixes my love for programming with my love for sound and emotion. Tools that feel human. Tools made by someone who plays music, not by a committee.
I am 48 now, and I see creation differently than I did at 28.
I don't want to rush anymore. I want to slow down. I want to listen more carefully. I want to take care of small details. I want to build with patience, honesty, and feeling. I want to create from my home studio, surrounded by instruments, screens, ideas, family, and the quiet moments that make a life mean something.
Being close to my family matters. Spending more time with my lovely daughter matters. Having my cheerful dog at my feet while I work matters. These simple things remind me, every day, why I create in the first place.
What Piruz Labs is, really
It's not only a software lab.
It's a place where technology meets emotion. Where engineering meets poetry. Where sound meets memory. Where tools are made not only to function, but to inspire.
Every plugin I make is its own world, a place you step into, not just a strip of knobs. Talk Moonshine! is a lunar harmony space. The next one is something else entirely. But each carries the same intent: part audio processor, part creative machine, part visual universe, built to feel alive in your hands.
I want to make emotional, niche, meaningful audio tools, for musicians, producers, artists, and dreamers. Tools that help them find sounds that stay in time. Sounds that feel personal. Sounds that carry a piece of the person who created them.
From the very first licence sold, a portion of every Piruz Labs purchase will go toward supporting young musicians who could not otherwise afford their first instrument or first piece of software. This isn't a someday plan. It begins with customer number one. Creativity is not a luxury, it's a light, and I want this small lab to help keep it lit for the next generation.
After all these years, I am still a builder.
But now I am building slower, warmer, and closer to the soul.
If a sound I helped you find ends up in a song that moves someone, that's the only review I'll ever need. Send it to me. I'll listen.
