What each one does
PRE DOOM sits before the distortion. It shapes, tightens and brutalises the signal before it reaches your amp, distortion or saturator. It does not replace your dirt, it decides what you feed it, and that is usually where a heavy sound is won or lost.
Harsher Reality damages the medium itself, across tape, cassette, vinyl, VHS, radio and digital. Its DENIAL stage then pushes detail back into a wrecked signal, so the damage stays musical instead of turning to mud.
The Guilt Device works on what comes back. It is a distorted delay and reverse delay that does not repeat your playing so much as remember it incorrectly. Confession, Burden, Shame and Punishment all move under one Guilt macro.
